My husband David and I met in 2002 while we were both in college, and I was working at a restaurant in Spartanburg. After asking for about five or six refills, I figured he was either really thirsty or he was just trying to work up the nerve to ask me out. Lucky for me it was the latter, and we have been together ever since.
I have always loved expressing my creativity in both still images and video. When my family got our first video camera, I spent hours filming my brother and cousins in their band music videos and “war” movies. Watching them always gets a good laugh. They weren’t safe after I got my first “real” film camera either. I dragged them out on photo shoots too.
David has merged his love of movies and love of computers into the creative outlet of video editing. Long before we met he was creating slideshows, editing home movies, and editing and transferring old wedding tapes to dvd for friends and family. Everyone was impressed with his work and started recommending him to more and more people.
A few years ago we decided to combine our collective experience into our own videography business, and that is how Reel Pixel Motion was born. One thing we both enjoy about this business is the fact that it unites our creative strengths together and allows us to do something we both love…together.
Our approach to filming wedding varies with each client. No two weddings are alike, so why should your videos be? Your wedding video is a living memory, and we always look for new, innovating ways to capture the emotion of each fleeting moment. We have had the opportunity of working with some great clients, and we can’t wait to see what’s around the corner as our business continues to grow.
We live in Duncan, SC with our two babies…Mya, the world’s smallest Siberian Husky, and Shamus, the world’s laziest Border Collie.
